1. Introduction

Welcome to Haimes English! By booking lessons or using our services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Haimes English is operated by Emma Haimes, a freelance English teacher, offering personalized English language lessons to individuals and groups, both online and in-person. These terms ensure a clear understanding of our policies and your responsibilities as a student.

2. Services Provided

Haimes English offers a variety of English language services, including:

  • Individual lessons.

  • Group lessons and friend group sessions.

  • Exam preparation (Trinity, Cambridge, IELTS).

  • Business and Academic English (B2-C2 levels).

  • Conversation and pronunciation improvement.

  • Summer intensive courses.

All lessons are customized to meet the student’s needs, using materials created by Haimes English. Online lessons are conducted via Microsoft Teams.

3. Booking and Payments

​

  • Payment Methods: Payments can be made via PayPal, card payments, or bank transfers through the Wix website.

  • Payment Policy: All lessons or lesson packs must be paid in advance to confirm the booking.

  • Refund Policy: Refunds for unused lessons are not provided, except in exceptional circumstances, at Haimes English’s discretion.

4. Lesson Scheduling and Cancellation

​

  • Rescheduling Policy: Students must notify Haimes English at least 1 hour in advance to reschedule a lesson. Rescheduling requests made with less than 1 hour’s notice will not be accommodated, and the lesson will be considered used.

  • Cancellation Policy: Lessons canceled without notice or within less than 1 hour will not be refunded or rescheduled.

  • Teacher Cancellations: If Haimes English needs to cancel a lesson, the student will be offered a rescheduled session or a credit for the missed lesson.

5. Student Responsibilities

  • Attend lessons on time and be prepared with any required materials.

  • Complete assigned tasks and actively participate in lessons.

  • Notify Haimes English promptly of any scheduling conflicts or issues.

6. Teacher Responsibilities

​

  • Provide high-quality, personalized lessons tailored to the student’s goals.

  • Ensure lessons are conducted in a professional, supportive, and engaging manner.

  • Notify students promptly of any changes to the schedule.

7. Privacy Policy

​

Haimes English values your privacy. Any personal information collected, including contact details and payment information, is stored securely and used solely for lesson administration and communication purposes. Your data will never be shared with third parties without your consent.

8. Liability

Haimes English is not responsible for:

  • The student’s progress or outcomes in learning English, as success depends on individual effort and engagement.

  • Technical issues during online lessons caused by the student’s equipment or internet connection.

9. Changes to Terms

Haimes English reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Students will be notified of any changes via email or the website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
